Current status of the Angel Reef CREWS -
We lost communication with the CREWS soon after it's last service in October 2017,
On March 8th the buoy was removed from the water and troubleshooted. It needs a new modem and voltage regulator to replace the non functioning ones.
The buoy and its mooring lines have been cleaned of fouling, and and the EXO2 has been recalibrated.
At the moment we are waiting for the new parts to be shipped in. A date to redeploy will be determined once we receive them.
*I wish to stress that due to limited resources and funds, we have been unable to maintain and service as often as is necessary, hence the problems we are encountering. I am hopeful that this hurdle can be addressed soon.
